Which song should I start with?

Start with the Jingle Bells chorus: it uses just C5, D5, E5, F5 and G5. The other three settings reach the upper register and suit players who already know the basic scale.

For music class or home practice

These settings use Baroque soprano recorder fingerings. Check your instrument before starting: German and Baroque F fingerings differ. Learn the required notes first, play one phrase slowly, then join the phrases. Playback is a synthesized pitch guide, not a recorded recorder performance.

Each practice page can be printed or saved as PDF through your browser. Letter names and beat values remain visible without JavaScript. For a complete note reference, use the interactive fingering chart or download the fingering PDFs.

Melody sources

Historical melodies are set here as single-line practice exercises. We do not embed commercial recordings, modern accompaniments or copied sheet-music images. Each song page links to historical background or a source record.
